Welcome to U.U.A.
- If you've come here to get assistance, please see the Visitors page. At this stage, you have (or should have) already tried to get help at the official #ubuntu IRC support channel.
- If you want to volunteer your time and knowledge as an assistant, or wish to see other information about our assistants, see the Assistants page.
We are a group of experienced Linux users who are happy to help out users of the Ubuntu community solve sticky problems.
If you have ever tried to get support for Ubuntu, you probably know there are at least two options: the forums, and the main #ubuntu IRC channel. The forums are slow by nature: it takes a while for someone to notice, read, and research your problem before they write a full response. The live chat support on the IRC channels, on the other hand, often skip over the problems that require more than one answer, because everyone is so busy to begin with.
Our goal? To combine the best of both worlds. To take the one-on-one experience and good problem-solving environemnts, and combine them into one solution (no pun intended). We are here to help users when all other options fail, and provide support that will hopefully rival the commercial phone support Windows users receive.
